✦ Assistant IA — EBIOS RM

Automatically pre-fill EBIOS Risk Manager Workshops 1, 2, and 3 from a field-observation worksheet, then assist with Workshop 4 operational scenarios and Workshop 5 treatment measures.

1Sign in to the application

Open app.polyodos.com (or app.polyodos.com) in your browser. Enter your username and password, then click Sign in.

Access to the AI assistant depends on your account permissions. If the AI Configuration page menu is not visible, contact your administrator.

2Create an EBIOS RM project

From the home page, click New project. In the dialog, enter a name and choose the project type that matches your context:

Project typeUse
IT CybersecurityConventional IS: ERP, email, web portal, and HR data
OT CybersecurityIndustrial systems: SCADA, PLCs, and IIoT sensors
Multi-modulesCombines EBIOS RM with other methods (IEC 62443 and Industrial Risk)
Both types enable the complete EBIOS RM module with all five workshops and the AI assistant.

3Configure the AI assistant

The API key is stored only in your browser —it is never sent to Polyodos servers.

Open configuration

In the side navigation menu, click AI Configuration page (under Project Management).

Each provider offers several models; only some accept images (see the Images column above).

Get a Gemini key

  1. Open aistudio.google.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click Get API key → Create API key
  3. Copy the generated key (it starts with AIzaSy…)
  4. Paste it into the API key field in Polyodos—saving is automatic
The key is saved as soon as it is entered. No Save button is required.

4Open AI Scoping

From your open EBIOS RM project, click ✦ AI Scoping in the side menu under EBIOS RM.

The page first displays the User Guide with the AI roadmap. Click ✦ Scoping worksheet to open the workspace.

5Complete the scoping worksheet

Use an example or write your own worksheet

Four buttons provide pre-filled example worksheets:

Expected worksheet structure

The worksheet follows the Markdown format for EBIOS RM Workshops 1, 2, and 3. Essential sections are:

## 🏢 W1 — ORGANISATION AND SCOPE Name, sector, size, technical scope, analysis objective ## 💎 W1 — BUSINESS VALUES Table: value | type | feared outcome if compromised ## ⚠️ W1 — FEARED EVENTS Table: event | affected value | primary impact | severity (1–4) ## 🌐 W1 — TECHNICAL SCOPE In-scope IS, hosting, interconnections, remote access ## 🕵️ W2 — RISK SOURCES Table: source | category | motivation | resource level ## 🤝 W3 — STAKEHOLDERS Table: stakeholder | category | access type | criticality
The more detailed the worksheet, the better the generated analysis. The detail indicator below the text area confirms that it exceeds 500 characters, the recommended minimum.

Add diagrams (optional)

Drag network-architecture or topology screenshots into the Diagrams. The AI analyses them alongside the text. Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, and WebP, up to three images. Available with Gemini, Claude, and other engines whose selected model accepts images (see the table above).

Worksheet data is sent to the selected AI service. Do not include real personal or confidential data in a test or demonstration context.

6Select workshops to pre-fill

Three workshops can be pre-filled from the same worksheet. Select those you want to initialise:

✦ IA disponible
Atelier 1 — Cadrage
Organisation, business values, feared events, context, and scope
✦ IA disponible
Workshop 2—Risk sources
Identified risk sources, categories, motivations, and resource levels
✦ IA disponible
Atelier 3 — Parties prenantes
Ecosystem stakeholders, access type, and exposure level
Selected workshops
Workshop section—all three selected by default; deselect completed workshops
If you already started Workshop 1 manually, deselect it. Importing an empty or incomplete workshop triggers an overwrite confirmation.

7Lancer l'analyse IA

Once the worksheet is complete (green indicator) and the API key is configured, the ✦ Analyse worksheet and pre-fill workshops button becomes active at the bottom of the page.

Click it. A confirmation dialog lists the workshops that will be overwritten:

Active button ready to run
Active button—detailed worksheet and API key present
Confirmation dialog
Pre-import confirmation—list of workshops that will be reset

Click Clear and import to start. Generation typically takes 15 to 45 seconds depending on the AI provider and worksheet detail.

8Results and import

A green card confirms the import with workshop details: numbers of business values, feared events, risk sources, and stakeholders created.

Selected workshops—generated data populates each workshop

If an error occurs

A red card displays the error message. Common causes:

MessageSolution
Enter an API keyOpen AI Configuration and enter the key
high demand / overloadedGemini overloaded—try again in 30 seconds
API key not validIncorrect or expired key—check Google AI Studio
No valid JSONDescription too short—add detail (minimum 500 characters)

9Complete the generated analysis

AI-generated data provides starting points to validate and expand with the project team and business stakeholders.

W2 Risk sources after import
Workshop 2—identified risk sources, categories, and motivations
W3 Stakeholders after import
Workshop 3—stakeholders with access type and criticality

Checks after import

The same worksheet can be reused with different workshops selected. To complete stakeholders later, deselect W1 and W2 and run again; only Workshop 3 will be updated.
AI does not replace workshops with business teams. It structures and accelerates initial scoping; the project team remains responsible for the analysis.

10Workshops 4 and 5 — Advanced AI assistance

Beyond scoping, the AI assistant supports the most complex EBIOS RM workshops:

Workshop 4—Operational scenarios

Accessible depuis ✦ Chemins d'attaque from the menu. For each Risk Source / Stakeholder pair identified in Workshop 3, the AI generates:

Atelier 4 — chemins d'attaque IA
Workshop 4—AI-generated attack paths with phases and ratings

Workshop 5—Measures and risk treatment

Accessible depuis ✦ PACD / Traitement. For every selected operational scenario, the AI proposes:

Atelier 5 — mesures IA
Workshop 5—AI-proposed measures with treatment strategy
Recommended sequence: Cadrage IA (A1/A2/A3) → complete the workshops collaboratively → IA A4 for selected RS/stakeholder pairs → validate with the team → IA A5 to prepare the treatment plan.
Workshops 4 and 5 require the preceding workshops to be complete, especially supporting assets (W2) and stakeholders with exposure levels (W3). Poor initial scoping produces generic scenarios.
